- Organiser information: Business name, contact details, address, and verification documents (such as proof of identity, proof of address, and Trade and Business Licence where applicable) for event organisers.
- Transaction information: Details of tickets purchased, order references, and booking history. Full payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
- Communications preferences: Whether you have consented to receive marketing communications.
- Technical information: Basic usage data necessary for the operation of the platform, such as authentication tokens.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Processing ticket purchases and delivering tickets via email.
- Managing your account and providing customer support.
- Enabling event organisers to manage their events and attendees.
- Facilitating check-in at events using QR codes.
- Sending transactional emails such as booking confirmations and ticket deliveries.
- Sending marketing communications, only where you have given consent.
- Verifying organiser identities and preventing fraud.
- Improving the platform and fixing technical issues.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Stripe — Processes all payments securely. When you make a purchase, your payment details are handled directly by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. The charge on your statement will appear as "Optimise Pro" or similar.
- Resend — Delivers transactional emails (booking confirmations, tickets) from tickets@events.ky.
- Cloudflare — Provides DNS and security services.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Event organisers receive the name and email of buyers for their events, solely for the purpose of event management.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
events.ky uses minimal cookies and browser local storage, limited to what is necessary for authentication and platform functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as our use of cookies is strictly functional.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction records (orders, tickets) are retained for a reasonable period for legal and accounting purposes. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information, though anonymised transaction records may be retained as required by law.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and limiting access to personal data. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Correct any inaccurate information in your account.
- Delete your account and associated personal information.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
